4/3- Last Week, Last Activities

Well, less than 4 days till we're off -the imminence of the trip has really started to hit home. That strange excitement and churning in the stomach is now far more common - and tends to strike unexpectedly...being triggered by common activities (like writing this post).

Its also a time of "last activities". Last days of work or school, last trainings (did last last jujitsu for 3 months, last week), last time to see mates for a while, etc.

However, there's also lots of activities still to happen. This weekend has been dedicated to washing and cleaning, today Zoe holds a b'day party for her rats, and we'll be visited by both Lina (Maria's mother) & Reg, and George (Spike's dad). (Unfortunately), there's also fairly major things still to be done - the US leg accomodation and car rental (indeed a big chunk of the itinerary) is yet to be done, money changed, and a trip to our travel agents yesterday revealed that we couldn't expect to get our airline tickets before Tuesday (due to some mixup of theirs).

Bring on the holiday I say - I feel like I really need it.
